Eagles Participate In Feed The Boro Event Saturday

Members of several Georgia Southern athletic teams to help distribute meals to Bulloch County residents
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern student-athletes from multiple sports will give back to the Statesboro community on Saturday, participating in the Feed the Boro event at Statesboro High School.
The event helps distribute meals to residents in Bulloch County, and the goal for Saturday is to hand out 500 meals throughout the morning. The event runs from 8-10 a.m.
"We are very proud to partner with the Feed the Boro organization in this worthwhile event," Senior Associate AD for Student-Athlete Development Gleen Hart said. "Servant leadership is an important aspect of the athletic department and this initiative is a great way to give back to the fans that support our teams and help those in need!"
Community service projects such as Feed the Boro help further the mission of the APEX program, which is a commitment to the holistic growth of all Georgia Southern student-athletes based on four pillars: life skills, leadership development, career growth and community engagement.
