
Georgia Southern Student-Athletes Set Participate in Finance Seminar

The event is part of the APEX program and presented by Synovus.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern student-athletes will participate in finance seminars, presented by Synovus Bank, Tuesday night as part of the Georgia Southern Athletics APEX (Athletes Preparing for Employment EXperiences) program.
Both seminars will be in the PAC. Freshman and sophomore student-athletes will participate at 7 p.m., and the event for juniors and seniors will begin at 8 p.m. Employees from Synovus Bank spoke to the Eagles about basic financial principles, including setting budgets, credit management and financial planning.
Led by Hart and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration Tracy Ham, the APEX program fosters the holistic growth of all Georgia Southern student-athletes based on four pillars: life skills, leadership development, career growth and community engagement. The vision statement of the program is to "develop confident and independent leaders to win in their careers, communities and households."
