"We simply weren't good enough on the day," Georgia Southern Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Adams said. "We didn't execute again offensively. We had 14 chances, but no goals. We've got to find somebody that can be a striker for us and put the ball in the back of the net."
The shot totals were even at 14-all, but Blye made seven saves for the Owls in the shutout. Katie Oakley made a pair of saves in net for the Eagles. KSU held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks, and the Owls were whistled for 10 fouls and a pair of offsides, while Georgia Southern was whistled for nine fouls and also a pair of offsides.
