
Twelve Eagles Earn Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

An even dozen Eagles carried a 3.50 GPA or better for the 2021-22 academic year
STATESBORO - Twelve members of Georgia Southern softball were honored with Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Awards today, announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The dozen Eagles carried a 3.50 GPA or better for the entire 2021-22 academic year to earn the accolades. Alphabetically, the Eagle honorees are: Shelby Barfield, Kastin Belogorska, Janai Conklin, Olivia Creamer, Ashleigh Duty, Ashlynn Gunter, Mary Grace Howard, Jess Mazur, Kyleigh Richardson, Faith Shirley, Sam Vinson and Rylee Waldrep.

The honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. The 12 members of the Eagles were part of 2,155 student-athletes from NCAA Division I who were recognized with today's release. Scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
