STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern baseball team will finish up their regular season with a three-game Sun Belt Conference series against UT-Arlington starting on Thursday, May 19. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. from J.I. Clements Stadium.

Georgia Southern holds a 14-6 record all-time against the Mavericks. The two had never played each other until the Eagles joined the SBC beginning in the 2014-2015 athletic year. Georgia Southern has never lost a series to UT-Arlington.

The Eagles carry a 35-17 overall record and a 20-7 conference record into the contest, after defeating SBC foe Little Rock on the road last weekend two games to one, and by hammering Mercer in midweek action, 21-7. UT-Arlington is 15-36 overall and 7-20 in Sun Belt play, dropping their previous weekend series to App State, but collecting a 7-0 win on the final game of the contest.

Like last week's series, the Eagles are playing a team that will be leaving the Sun Belt after this baseball season ends. The Mavericks will call the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) home beginning on July 1 of this year.

Georgia Southern will call on their typical rotation, beginning on Thursday night with LHP Ty Fisher (4-2, 3.16 ERA) and sending RHP Jaylen Paden (5-2, 5.34 ERA) to the mound on Friday, with their Saturday starter yet to be named. UTA will send out RHP Tanner King (2-5, 4.28 ERA) on Thursday, RHP Michael Wong (1-6, 4.58 ERA) on Friday, and RHP Cade Winquest (2-3, 5.11 ERA) on Saturday.
