STATESBORO – The 24
th-ranked Georgia Southern baseball team will host the Kennesaw State Owls out of the Atlantic Sun Conference for two midweek games on Tuesday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 27. First pitch for both games is set for 6 p.m.
The two teams were originally scheduled to play on April 6, but weather pushed that game to Tuesday, which created the two-game midweek series between the teams.
Georgia Southern comes into the midweek games with a 27-12 after sweeping South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, for the first time in program history. They are ranked in most of the major baseball polls, including D1Baseball (24) and Baseball America (17). Kennesaw State comes in to the midweek series at 24-15, taking the series from Jacksonville over the weekend two games to one. KSU is ranked 29
th nationally in RPI.
The Eagles will send
Ga'von Wray (4.72 ERA, 7-1) to the mound on Tuesday, and have yet to name a starter for Wednesday. On the opposite side, the Owls will send out RHP Luke Torbert (7.96 ERA, 2-1) on Tuesday and RHP Makenzie Stills (10.31 ERA, 1-1) on Wednesday.
