STATESBORO - Texas State softball completed a Sun Belt Conference series sweep of host Georgia Southern on Sunday, winning 11-1 in five innings at Eagle Field.
The Bobcats stretched their current win streak to nine in improving to 29-17 overall and 13-8 in the Sun Belt. Georgia Southern fell to 9-29 overall and 4-14 in the Sun Belt as the Eagles saw their current slide reach nine.
Texas State scored a run in the first on Sara Vanderford's RBI double - one of three doubles on the day for the Bobcat third baseman. Two runs in the second inning pushed the Bobcat lead to 3-0.

The Bobcats then closed out the game with five runs in the fourth and three in the fifth.
Jessica Mullins (20-11) pitched the complete-game win for the Bobcats, hurling five innings of three-hit, one-run ball, walking one whilr striking out four.
Kastin Belogorska (3-11) took the loss for the Eagles, giving up six hits and six runs - five earned - in 3 1/3 innings of work, walking three while striking out one.
