In the top of the seventh, Krause would hit his second home run of the game to right center, scoring a runner who was on base and make it a 6-4 lead for Miami.

The Eagles began the bottom of the seventh with a Swan home run to left field, which immediately saw the Miami lead cut to 6-5. Avant would get on base after being hit by a pitch, and Ledford would bring him home on a RBI double to center field, tying the game. The Eagles would add an extra run before the inning ended as Austin Thompson tripled to right center, scoring Ledford, giving the Eagles the 7-6 lead.

Miami would score three more runs in the top of the eighth, including two singles that were hit to right field while the bases were loaded. The RedHawks would lead 9-7 going into the bottom of the eighth. Jaylen Paden scored Jarrett Brown on an RBI double down the left field line, giving the Eagles their only run in the eighth, with the RedHawks holding on to a 9-8 lead going into the ninth.
