STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern baseball team will travel to Athens, Ga, to take on the 23
rd-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in the season series finale on Tuesday, March 29. First pitch from Foley Field is set for 6 p.m.
The series is tied at 1-1, as the Eagles took the first game in a 13-5 performance at SRP Park in North Augusta. The Eagles were down by five after the top of the first, but GS scored 13 unanswered runs to pick up the big win over the Bulldogs. UGA would respond the following night in Statesboro by picking up a 5-1 win over the Eagles.
The Eagles will rely on LHP
Danny Madden (0-0, 6.46 ERA) for his first midweek start since facing Georgia Tech. UGA will bring out RHP Hank Bearden (0-0, 0.00 ERA).
