Men’s Basketball Celebrates Senior Night With 81-75 Overtime Win

STATESBORO – Kamari Brown scored a career-high 22 points, including Georgia Southern's last eight in regulation, to lead the Eagles to an 81-75 overtime win over ULM in the home finale Friday night in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Brown's bucket from the baseline with 2.7 on the clock sent the game into overtime tied at 70-70. The senior nailed a 3-pointer from the wing with 2:48 left in the extra period to put the Eagles (12-15, 5-11) ahead for good at 76-73. Georgia Southern held the Warhawks to 1 of 7 from the field the rest of the way and made four free throws at the other end to seal the win.

Eagles of the Game 
Brown finished the game 6 of 10 from the floor and 9 of 11 from the charity stripe while also collecting seven rebounds. Gedi Juozapaitis made a season-high five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points, and Elijah McCadden tallied 10 points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists. Kaden Archie added 13 points and four rebounds, and Andrei Savrasov contributed 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Key Moments 
ULM (13-17, 5-13) led 69-66 after a pair of free throws by Russell Harrison with 1:18 left in regulation. Both teams missed triples on their next possessions before Brown made a pair of free throws with 15.8 seconds left. The Eagles fouled Elijah Gonzales, who made 1 of 2 from the line to make the margin 70-68 with 10.7 seconds to go. McCadden penetrated into the paint and found Brown open on the baseline for the jumper that sent the game into overtime.

- The Eagles will be the 10th seed in next week's Sun Belt Tournament. 
- GS held ULM to 36 percent shooting for the game and 22.2 percent in overtime. 
- The contest saw 13 lead changes and 10 ties.
