- Georgia Southern men's basketball extended its winning streak to four games on Thursday, and eight games at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, crossing the century mark for the first time this season and the 130th in program history, rolling past Coastal Georgia 100-58.
- Graduate guard Tyren Moore became the 47th player in program history to score 1,000 points in an Eagles' uniform. The Louisville, Kentucky, native collected 21 points in 15 minutes of action, exiting the game to a standing ovation from the home crowd.
- Redshirt freshman Dwayne Williams Jr. collected his first collegiate double-double against the Mariners on Thursday, joining Alden Applewhite as the only Eagles to accomplish that feat. Williams Jr. posted a career-high 21 points and added a career-best 12 rebounds. His efforts marked the fourth double-double of the season for the Eagles and the first by someone other than Applewhite. He finished the evening shooting 7-of-14 from the field, 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 3-of-3 from the stripe.
- During the Eagles' four-game winning streak, Georgia Southern has averaged 86.3 points per game, while allowing 68.3 to its opponents. In three of the four contests, Georgia Southern has won the rebounding battle, including a plus-18 advantage on the boards against Coastal Georgia on Thursday.
- Saturday's contest against West Georgia on the road closes out the non-conference portion of the schedule, as teams will shift to Sun Belt Conference play beginning next week. The Eagles will begin the conference portion of the year inside the friendly confines of the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, hosting Georgia State (12/18) and James Madison (12/20) before the holiday break. Both contests are part of a doubleheader with the women's program.
