Eagles of the Match

Key Moments
Trailing the match 2-1 and the fourth set 18-13, the Eagles used a 7-3 run to trim the margin to 21-20. Grace Underwood served an ace, and Jarome added a kill during the stretch. GS trailed 23-22 after an ace by Callaway Cason, but an Eagle attack went into the net before Saada put down a kill to end the match.
Key stats
The Chanticleers outblocked GS 11-5 and held the Eagles to .109 hitting.
Quotables from Coach Chad Willis
"It was a tough result. The biggest takeaway was first contact. We really struggled generating pressure from the service line in the first two sets, but I thought we did a better job in 3 and 4 in creating better opportunities defensively, which established some positive momentum on our side. We can build off that going into tomorrow to earn a split."
