PREVIEW: Eagles Set to Face Vanderbilt and UNF on Saturday

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern swimming and diving team returns to Jacksonville, Florida this Saturday for a dual meet with North Florida and Vanderbilt.
The Eagles will compete at noon at the UNF Aquatic Center. The meet will be streamed through SWOOPLife Live on UNFOspreys.com.
Allyson Sweeney joins Georgia Southern for her first meet as Head Coach. Sweeny is a two-time Big 12 champion with Texas A&M and a former assistant coach at North Carolina. During her tenure at UNC, she helped lead both men's and women's swim and dive programs to 24th and 12th place finishes in the NCAA Championships during the 2020-2021 season.
Of Note: The Eagles placed second in their previous meet at North Florida during the UNF Osprey Invitational and are 15-7 all time versus the Ospreys. This will be only the second meeting between the Eagles and the Commodores. The Eagles won on a 120-89 decision during their last meeting in 2007.
