STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern cross country team is set to compete in the Upstate Invite Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The 5K race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

Georgia Southern has not competed since Sept. 16, as the Eagles opted not to travel to the Alexander/Asics Invite in Atlanta Oct. 1, because of travel concerns associated with Hurricane Ian. GS finished third of 11 teams in their last race, the Julius Johnson Invite in Macon, Georgia, Sept. 16.

Following Saturday's race in Spartanburg, GS has a week off before competing at the Sun Belt Championship Oct. 29, in Foley, Alabama.
