
PREVIEW: Eagles Fly to Clemson for UTR College Circuit

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team will head up to Clemson University to take part in the UTR College Circuit, beginning on Friday, October 14.
The Eagles will be sending nine competitors to Clemson to compete in the UTR Circuit. Those that are competing are Alex Amacher, Judson Blair, Pol del Castillo Masich, Valentin Dun, Laurent Julia Calac, Matthew Mitchell, Dimitris Paliouras, Alexandros Roumpis, and Alex Suk.
The last time out for the Eagles saw several student-athletes perform well at the UCF Fall Sizzler in Orlando, Florida. In doubles, Blair and del Castillo advanced to the finals before falling to a pair from top-seeded Florida Gulf Coast.
In singles competition, del Castillo advanced to the finals in the Blue bracket before falling to a fourth-seeded competitor from Cornell. In the Green bracket, Blair moved onto the semifinals before falling to a top-seeded competitor from Kennesaw State. In the Orange bracket, Roumpis made it to the semifinals before falling to a player from North Florida. Finally, in the Red bracket, Dun advanced to the finals before falling to a student-athlete from Kennesaw State.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 20 to compete in the ITA Regionals on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The action starts on Thursday and continues until Sunday.
