STATESBORO - The 17th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad will welcome three ranked opponents to Statesboro this weekend as it hosts a pair of tri-matches at the Shooting Sports Education Center. On Saturday, GS will welcome No. 18 North Georgia and Georgia Military College for the Georgia Collegiate Championships before taking on No. 11 Nebraska and No. 14 Jacksonville State on Sunday.

Action on Saturday begins at 8 a.m. with a single relay for all three teams' five-person squad. On Sunday, the action starts at 9 a.m. with Jacksonville State shooting in a relay against a mix of GS shooters and then Nebraska taking on the rest of the Eagle shooters starting at 2 p.m. Admission to both days is free.

Georgia Southern has won the past two Georgia Collegiate Championships after UNG held the title for the previous three seasons. The Eagles knocked off the Nighthawks at the 2022 SoCon Rifle Championships last March to claim their first crown.

Sunday's match will be a family affair as Georgia Southern's Addy Burrow will face off with her younger brother, Sam, who shoots at JSU. Both transfered from NC State after this past season where they shot together in 2021-22. From Williamson, Georgia, they are two of 12 children of Chris and Esther Burrow. The other 10 children are Jack, Solomon, Layney, Bella, Eli, Leo, Annie, Lincoln, Henry, Dinah and Saoirse.

Additionally, the squad will be recognized and presented their SoCon championship rings in the first quarter of Saturday's football game against No. 25 JMU
