Haley Yerxa took fifth as the Georgia Southern women's golf team tied for third at the Edisto Island Invitational Tuesday at the Plantation Course at Edisto Island.
Charleston Southern (+20) won the team title, and tournament host College of Charleston (+23) placed second, a stroke ahead of the Eagles (+24) and Lipscomb.
Keyed by a second-round 69, Rattanasin (E) shot 73-69-71=213 and finished three strokes behind the co-medalists. Yerxa's second-round 67 tied for the second-lowest score of the event, and the redshirt senior finished 1-over for the tournament, posting 75-67-72=214.
Yerxa's second round was bogey free with three straight birdies on holes 5, 6 and 7 and another at 10. Rattanasin made four birdies on the second day and played her first 14 holes 3-under en route to posting a 69.
Georgia Southern led the field in par-4 scoring and total pars and ranked third in par-3 scoring.
