1. When did you first start playing sports? What was the first sport you ever played?
I first started playing sports at the age of 5 when I got my first set of golf clubs.
2. How has your involvement in your sport shaped who you are today?
Sports have made me a harder worker and have taught me that I can achieve anything with hard work and determination as my foundation. Athletics here at Georgia Southern has also brought many great people into my life like my fellow Athletes in Action members.
3. Why do you love being a college athlete?
I love the sense of community that college athletics brings with it. There is a sense of respect that we all hold for each other but also that feeling of always having each other's backs. Your team becomes your family at college and you create these lasting friendships with it as well.
4. Who is someone that inspires you as a woman in sports?
Allyson Felix is an inspiration for all female athletes as she constantly is breaking the barriers for female rights within sport. She also carries herself gracefully and with humility even as the most decorated track and field athlete.
5. How do you hope you inspire athletes at Georgia Southern and other young women and girls in sports?
I hope to show them that there is no one size fits all for female athletes and your worth is not defined by your performances in your sport.
6. What would be your advice to a young girl who wants to be in your position as a college athlete?
I would tell her to work hard and never give up, for the world is at her fingertips. That she is capable of more than she could ever imagine, and to always trust the Lord's plan and path He has laid out.
