STATESBORO – Due to COVID-19 concerns within the Troy men's basketball program, Georgia Southern's road game against the Trojans scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 13, has been canceled per Sun Belt Conference policy.
Under the policy, games that cannot be played due to COVID-19 will be canceled, considered a no-contest, and not be rescheduled. The minimum threshold required to compete is seven (7) student-athletes (scholarship or non-scholarship), plus one full-time coach. If a team meets that minimum threshold, they are required to play. Teams may choose to play with less than the minimum threshold.
The Eagles are scheduled to play at South Alabama Saturday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. ET, and the game will air on ESPN+ and the GS Radio Network.
