
Men’s Basketball Signs Amar Augillard

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 28.2 points and 12 rebounds as a senior at Zion Benton.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Brian Burg announced today that Amar Augillard (Zion, Illinois/Zion Benton) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Georgia Southern and compete for the Eagles, beginning in the 2021-22 season.
A 6-foot-4, 210-pound guard, Augillard averaged 28 points and 12 rebounds as a senior last season for coach Bob Worthington at Zion Benton High School. He scored 40-plus points in four contests and was named first-team Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Class 4A All-State. He earned IBCA Class 4A second-team all-state accolades as a junior and finished his career with 2,174 points, good for second on Zion Benton's all-time scoring list.
