Men’s Basketball Adds Donovan Stocks

The 6-foot-3 guard joins the Eagle roster for 2021-22.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Brian Burg announced today that Donovan Stocks (Cincinnati, Ohio/Covington Catholic) has joined the Eagle roster for the 2021-22 season.
A 6-foot-3 guard, Stocks averaged 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals a contest as a senior for Coach Scott Ruthsatz at Covington Catholic High School in Covington, Kentucky. He was named all-region and the team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2021. Stocks' aunt, Tamara Stocks, played basketball at the University of Florida and for the Washington Mystics, and another aunt, Amber Stocks, played basketball at the University of Cincinnati.

"Donovan comes to our program extremely well trained. He comes in with a high level of consistency and a daily winner's mentality. He played for a great high school coach in Scott Ruthsatz, one of the top coaches and programs in the state of Kentucky. Donovan has been a great addition to Georgia Southern University and the Statesboro community. We are excited about his future."
