STATESBORO - The 2020-21 Academic All-District Women's and Men's At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Georgia Southern student-athletes
Ashley Judson (rifle) and
Pascal Wagemaker (men's tennis) were both honored for their work in the classroom.
Judson, a rising junior majoring in philosophy, was also a first-team All-SoCon selection in air rifle and the Air Rifle Co-Athlete of the Year. The Acworth, Georgia, native was an alternate to the NCAA Air Rifle Championship after shooting a personal-best 592 at the NCAA Qualifier. Judson was also named a Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholastic All-American and made the President's List in the fall and spring for posting a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Wagemaker, who finished his collegiate career this past spring, also earned Academic All-District honors last year. The Netherlands native won 18 singles matches and 13 doubles matches this past season.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early August.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
