
Mya Turner Signs NLI to Join Eagle Track and Field

Turner is one of eight newcomers to the 2021-22 roster.
STATESBORO – Track and Field coach Kelly Carter announced today that Mya Turner (Acworth, Ga./Allatoona) has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Eagles beginning in the 2021-22 season.
"We are very excited to add Mya to this group of incoming freshmen," said Carter. "As we went through the recruiting process with Mya and got to know her and her family, it became clear that she's an excellent fit for our program and for Georgia Southern University. We look forward to her joining our program and arriving on campus in August. Wings up!"
Mya Turner (Acworth, Ga./Allatoona) - Sprints
Lettered for Coach Patrick Parsons at Allatoona High School • Owns school records in the 100 and 200 • Cobb County Champion, Regional Champion, Sectional Champion and took sixth at states in the 200 in 2021.
Personal Bests: 100 - 11.91 | 200 - 24.14 | 400 - 57.45
Turner joins Reese Connelly (Marietta, Ga./Hillgrove), Ansley Fullen (Evans, Ga./Evans), Nichole Harris (Ocala, Fla./Forest), Imani Moore (Fayettville, Ga./Fayette County), Katie Ranck (Orlando, Fla./Windemere), Melanie Tribick (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) and Ella Zierdt (Huntsville, Ala./St. John Paul II) as the newcomers to the 2021-22 roster.
