MOBILE, Ala. – Zykeria Williams set a new school record, won her heat and advanced to the finals in the 100 hurdles, and Scovia Ayikoru won her heat and advanced to the finals in the 400-meter dash to lead the Georgia Southern women's track and field team on the second day of the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Williams posted a mark of 13.59 in the 100 hurdles to break her own school record, and Ayikoru ran the 400 in 54.44, the sixth-fastest of the day.
Camryn Mathis took third in her heat in the 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 11.85, narrowly missing the finals with the ninth-best time, and Aris Hubbard ran the 100-meter dash in 11.88 to finish second in her heat.
Field events begin at 12:30 p.m. ET tomorrow with running events beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Live coverage on ESPN+ begins at 5 p.m. ET.
