• Georgia Southern embarks on its final road trip of the season as the Eagles travel to Coastal Carolina for a Friday night match and Appalachian State for a Sunday afternoon tilt.
• The Eagles are coming off an 0-2 weekend, falling to both Texas State and UTA by 3-0 margins. Both Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State are coming off losses to Troy and South Alabama last weekend.
•  With four matches left in the regular season, Georgia Southern is in fourth place in the East Division, while Coastal Carolina sits in second, and Appalachian State is in sixth place. The top two teams in each division gain first-round byes in the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament. The Eagles play host to first-place South Alabama and third-place Troy next weekend in Hanner Fieldhouse.
• Georgia Southern trails the all-time series against Coastal Carolina 21-2 and has lost the last 13, including a 3-1 decision in Hanner Fieldhouse Oct. 1. The Eagles broke a six-match losing streak to Appalachian State by topping the Mountaineers 3-1 Oct. 3 at home but trail the all-time series, which began in 1989, 38-17.

Ashlyn Lovett has been named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week twice (Sept. 28 and Oct. 26) and ranks seventh in the league in digs (4.06/set). Sophomore
Grace Slader was named the Sun Belt Setter of the Week Oct. 12, and Junior
Mya Wilson was named preseason All-Sun Belt.
• The Eagles rank fifth in the Sun Belt in hitting percentage (.218), fifth in blocks (2.22/set) and sixth in aces (1.37/set). GS also ranks fifth in opponent hitting percentage, holding its opponents to .184.

Baylor Bumford ranks second in the Sun Belt in hitting percentage (.356). Slader ranks fifth in the Sun Belt in assists (8.70/set) and third in aces (0.38/set).

Madison Brown is the seventh Eagle to surpass 2,500 assists for her career, and the senior ranks sixth on the Georgia Southern all-time list with 2,747. Senior
Maddie Bryant notched 10 kills vs. Arkansas State Oct. 23 to reach 600 for her career. She now has 622 kills, 554 digs and 138 blocks.
• The Eagles' 13 wins so far this season are the most since Georgia Southern went 15-18 in 2016. Their 10 home wins are the most since 2013, when GS went 13-2 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
• Following the weekend, the Eagles host Troy (Friday) and South Alabama (Saturday) in their final regular-season matches. First serve for both matches is slated for 6 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse, and they will air live on ESPN+. Friday is Hawaiian Shirt Night and Saturday is Senior Night.
