• The Eagles continue their four-match homestand this weekend as they host Texas State Friday and UTA Sunday. Friday night's match is Neon Night, which includes a glow stick giveaway, and Sunday's contest is Volloween with $3 tickets for patrons dressed in costumes and a costume contest at halftime. Both schools are making their first appearance in Hanner Fieldhouse since 2018.
• Georgia Southern is coming off a 1-1 weekend as the Eagles fell 3-0 to Little Rock and defeated Arkansas State 3-0. Three-time defending Sun Belt Champions and preseason favorite Texas State has won its last six, including a 3-0 win over Coastal Carolina and a 3-1 victory vs. Appalachian State at home last weekend. UTA has won three of its last four and is coming off a 1-1 weekend. The Mavs topped Appalachian State 3-0 and lost 3-0 to the Chanticleers in Arlington.
• The Eagles are searching for their first win against both schools. Texas State has won all seven meetings against the Eagles, and UTA has won 10. The series against the Bobcats began in 2014 when Georgia Southern joined the Sun Belt, and the series vs. the Mavs began with a neutral site contest in 2009.

It's the second time she has earned the honor this season (Sept. 28). Sophomore

Maddie Bryant notched 10 kills vs. Arkansas State Oct. 23 to reach 600 for her career. She also has 552 digs and 138 blocks.
• The Eagles' 13 wins so far this season are the most since Georgia Southern went 15-18 in 2016. Their 10 home wins are the most since 2013, when GS went 13-2 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
• Following the weekend, the Eagles return to divisional play when they travel to Coastal Carolina Friday and Appalachian State Sunday.
