The Eagles are 5-4 overall and 1-1 in Sun Belt play after splitting a pair of games at South Alabama last week. The Jaguars won Friday's contest against the Eagles, 71-65, with Georgia Southern taking Saturday's game, 78-71 ... Every team that played last week went 1-1, leaving the Eagles tied with three other teams atop the East Division at 1-1 ... That includes Appalachian State, who is 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the Sun Belt after splitting a pair of games at Troy last week ... The Mountaineers won Friday's game, 78-66, while the Trojans won Saturday's game, 85-65 ... Preseason All-Sun Belt selection Pre Stanley had 24 points in the Friday win over Troy and she currently ranks third in the Sun Belt in scoring at 18.0 ppg ... For the Eagles, Shondell Vickers was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week on Monday for averaging 12.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 4.0 apg and 1.0 bpg in the two games against South Alabama ...
