Georgia Southern and Georgia State Announce Men’s Basketball Series Game Times

State and Southern play a home and home series Feb. 11 and 13.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern and Georgia State have announced the tipoff times for their men's basketball home and home series.
The Feb. 11 contest in Atlanta will tip off at 6 p.m. in GSU Sports Arena, and the Feb. 13 tilt in Statesboro will start at 3 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the GS Sports Network. The teams are scheduled to meet twice this season.
The home hardwood has not been kind to either school recently. Last season, Georgia Southern won two contests in Atlanta in less than two weeks after suffering through a nine-game skid there that spanned 28 years. Georgia State has won the last two in Hanner, including a 90-85 victory to spoil the Eagles' Senior Night in 2019.
State is 9-6 against Southern since the Eagles joined the Sun Belt prior to the 2014-15 season, but Southern leads the series 38-23 since becoming an NCAA Division I member in 1971.
Georgia Southern is set to play host to Coastal Carolina for two games this weekend in Hanner Fieldhouse. Tonight's game tips off at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN2, and Saturday's game is slated for 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
