Track and Field Competes at Liberty Elite Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Track and Field competed at the Liberty Elite Invitational on Friday in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Eagles will return to action tomorrow morning to conclude the invitational.
The Georgia Southern 4x800 Relay team of Abbey Arnett, Makenna Hillmer, Emma Peluso and Isabel Ptacek placed second in event with a 10:05.98 time. In the 200 meter dash, Scovia Ayikoru placed seventh in a heat of 29 other athletes. In the Women's Weight Throw, Siddeeqa Abdur-Rahman was able to place eighth in a heat of 21 athletes.
Georgia Southern will conclude the final day of the Liberty Elite Invitational with a full day of competition.
