Men’s Basketball Signs Fred Odhiambo

Standing 6-foot-11, the center shot 55 percent from the floor in two seasons at Hutchinson and averaged close to two blocks per game.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Brian Burg announced today that Fred Odhiambo (Kairobi, Kenya/Hutchinson Community College) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles, beginning in the 2020-21 season.

Before Georgia Southern: Started 64 of 66 career games and shot 55 percent from the floor in two seasons at Hutchinson Community College • Averaged five points, five rebounds and two blocked shots per game as a freshman • Helped lead Hutchinson to a 23-9 season record in 2019-20 and a 26-8 mark in 2018-19 • Averaged 14.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 4.1 blocked shots a game as a junior at Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Calif.
