Track and Field Honor Two Seniors

STATESBORO -- The Georgia Southern track and field and cross country teams recognized two distance seniors Saturday virtually through social media platforms.
Ellunde Montgomery finishes her Georgia Southern career among the top tier in recent program history. The McDonough, native has scored eight times at conference meets and is listed in the top performances lists in the GS record books. Her best conference finish in a solo event was at the 2019 Sun Belt Outdoor meet where she placed second in the 800m with a personal-best 2:12.85. The time ranks fifth in the all-time outdoor marks. The senior also ranks third in the indoor mile (5:04.77), third in the indoor 3000m (10:30.45), fourth in the outdoor 1500m (4:41.15) and third in the outdoor 3000m (10:51.88). Montgomery has also been a part of several successful relay teams. She has been a part of the 2018 distance medley relay team who broke the indoor school record with a time of 12:06.65, part of the 2019 sprint medley relay who broke the outdoor school record with a time of 4:02.71 and ranks fourth in the indoor 4x400 relay at 3:50.93.
Kaitlin Rocker also finishes her track and cross country career with several top marks in the Eagles record books. The Jacksonville, Florida, native holds the no. 5 outdoor 3000m time of 10:57.83, the no. 7 outdoor 5000m time of 18:48.73 and the no. 4 indoor 5000m time of 18:37.22. In 2018, Rocker won the 5000m at the Samford Invite. Her best finish in cross country came at the 2019 GATA Classic where she placed fifth.
