Track and Cross Country Sign Four Recruits

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern track and field/cross country teams added four athletes to its roster for the upcoming season.
Madicyn Robinson is a thrower from Valdosta and primarily competes in the discus and shotput. The Lowndes High product is a 2018 regional champion and came in fourth at the state meet. She also was a 2019 regional champion. Her PR's are 133-11 in discus and 32-5 in the shot.
Emma Peluso of Bluffton, South Carolina, competed in both track and cross country for May River high school. Peluso was the 2019 state champion in the 800m and was runner-up in the 1600m. She also finished fourth at state in 2018 in cross country and third at state in both 1600m and 800m.
Abbey Arnett of Douglas, ran track and cross country for Coffee High School and won eight region championships combined in the 800m, 1600m and 5K events. Her PR's are 2:25 in the 800m, 5:28.87 in the mile and 20:16 in the 5K.
Kate Conner will join the team from the Savannah Arts Academy where she has PR's of 5:53.02 in the 1600m, 13:24.58 in the 3200m and 21:41 in the 5K.
