Women’s Golf is in 13th After Two Rounds at Amelia Island

The Eagles play the third and final round tomorrow.
AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – Ella Ofstedahl shot 73-73=146 to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team in the first two rounds of the Amelia Island Collegiate Monday at Amelia Island National Golf Club.
The Eagles are eight strokes behind sixth-place Florida International as just nine shots separate 6-14 on the leaderboard. FFCU is in first, followed by North Florida and Stetson.
Ofstedahl is tied for 14th, while Alberte Thuesen and Madison Heideman each shot a two-round total of 149 and are tied for 29th.
The story
Heideman made birdies on holes 6 and 9 to shoot 2-under on her first seven holes and finished the morning round by playing her final six holes 2-under with birdies on 15 and 18. Ofstedahl started her day with five straight pars and shot even on the back nine, while Thuesen shot even on the back nine with consecutive birdies at 13 and 14.
In the second round, Ofstedahl played her final 11 holes even, and Thuesen rolled in four birdies, including three on the front to shoot even on the side.
