"I am very pleased with our group after a challenging semester for everyone," Georgia Southern Head Men's Soccer Coach John Murphy said. "With 28 of 32 of our student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or better, it is quite an impressive effort from our guys.
"Furthermore, breaking the program record for team GPA has been a team goal since I arrived in 2016, so this mark should be celebrated. Personally, I feel the way our student-athletes addressed the challenges of 2020, while excelling in their academic obligations, says a great deal about them as young men. I would like to thank the Student-Athlete Services staff for the comprehensive support they provide our program. I am also grateful to our coaching staff, particularly Matt Evans, for the tireless efforts supporting our kids this semester."
