
Pierre Taken in Second Round of 2026 MLS SuperDraft

Pierre is the second Eagle to be taken in this year's draft.
STATESBORO ---- Graduate midfielder Kevin Pierre was selected in the second round by New York City FC as the 57th overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
Pierre played nearly 1,500 minutes and the full ninety for twelve matches. His lone goal came a s a game winner against Jacksonville on September 15th, scoring in the 83rd minute. While he also added on an assist in the game-winner against College of Charleston, Pierre also helped to anchor a defense that was tops in the Sun Belt, and one of the best in program history. In his GS career, he has two goals and four assists while playing over 4,000 minutes on the pitch garnering the Blue and White.
He is the second Eagle to hear his name called this afternoon, as Ricky Louis was selected earlier by Dallas FC as the number two overall pick. Together, the duo marks the first two Georgia Southern players to be drafted in program history.
