STATESBORO - Georgia Southern men's soccer midfielder/defender Aidan Ferreira was named to the College Soccer News' list of impact freshmen released this week as the regular season of 2020 Fall winds down.

Ferreira was listed as a defender among the squad, which highlighted 20 freshman from around NCAA Division I men's soccer by the website. A true freshman from Canton, Ga., and a product of Creekview HS, Ferreira has played in seven matches, starting six, for the Eagles this season. He has logged 549 minutes of action in his seven games, which ranks fourth-most among Georgia Southern players this season. He has also shown his versatility by playing in both the midfield and on the back line for the Eagles.
