The Eagles finish their fall season at the Mercer Invitational at Brickyard Golf Club in Macon next Monday and Tuesday. GS placed eighth in its first event of the fall Oct. 21, at the Callaway Gardens Invitational. Hailey Katona tied for 25th and Kaysie Harrelson tied for 28th, and both were playing in their first collegiate tournaments.
Senior Ella Ofstedahl is playing a fifth season after the NCAA granted an extra year of eligibility to all spring sport student-athletes because of COVID-19. She has finished in the top-10 in five of her last nine collegiate events and now has seven top-5s, 11 career top-10s and 18 career top-20s.
Ofstedahl makes her 33rd career start for the Eagles, and Savanah Satterfield will be in the lineup for the ninth time. Harrelson, Katona and Abby Newton will make their second consecutive starts.
The Eagles will tee off the 18th hole in an 8 a.m. shotgun start Monday.
GS is slated to open the spring season Feb. 15-16, at the UNF/WKU Spring Break Shootout and host the Strutter Gus Invitational at GS University Golf Course a week later, Feb. 21-22.
