Three Eagles Named Women’s Golf All-American Scholars

Julianna Collett, Ella Ofstedahl and Sarah Noonan earn the honor for the second straight season.
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Georgia Southern's Ella Ofstedahl, Julianna Collett and Sarah Noonan 18Birdie All-American Scholars.
The trio earns the honor for the second straight season.
Ofstedahl won medalist honors at the Sun Belt Championship, becoming the first conference champion in program history, and was named second-team All-Sun Belt and all-tournament. She shot a season-low 69 in the final round of the conference championship and had five top-10 finishes, placing in the top-5 four times. She carries a 3.76 cumulative grade point average in sport management.
Collett played in the lineup in seven events and posted a 77.66 scoring average. She shot a season-low 70 in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship to lead the tournament for the second straight season and finished tied for 14th, her best finish of the season. She owns a 3.95 cumulative grade point average in manufacturing engineering.
Noonan took 10th at The Strutter April 1, her best finish this season and the second best of her career. She posted a 79.42 scoring average and fired a season-low 74 at the UNF Collegiate. She has a 3.86 cumulative grade point average in psychology.
A total of 1,096 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, and the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
The Eagles return seven letterwinners, including the 2019 Sun Belt Individual champion Ofstedahl, to the 2019-20 roster.
