CONWAY, S.C. – Six runs in the first two innings were not enough for Georgia Southern Baseball who dropped the 2019 Sun Belt Baseball Championship Game, 9-7, to the host Coastal Carolina. The Eagles got a run in the first, followed by five in the second, but Coastal would rattle off nine runs between the fourth and seventh innings to take their second-straight league title.
Steven Curry reached to start the bottom of the first on a fielding error at third base, followed by a ball that rode up and in on
Mason McWhorter to put runners on first and second.
Jason Swan drove Curry in as the Eagles sprung out to an early lead.
The Eagles hung a crooked number in the second inning, plating five off four hits.

Tyler Martin double,
Noah Ledford clouted a two run home run of his own to make it a 5-0 lead.
Coastal began its run in the fourth inning, scoring three runs off three hits to put the Eagles on notice. The Eagles, however, got one back in the bottom half of the inning when Swan drove in his second run of the game.
