
Shelby Wilson Earns Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Honors

Junior outfielder carries a perfect 4.0 GPA; will advance to Academic All-American balloting
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern junior outfielder Shelby Wilson has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball team, announced by the organization last week.
Wilson was named to the District 4 First Team for carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA in exercise science, while batting .354 with eight home runs and 37 RBI. The Clyo, Ga., native graduated with her bachelor's degree this past weekend, completing her degree in only three years.
With her first-team honor, Wilson will now advance to national balloting for Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on Thursday, June 6. She is the first Academic All-Distrct softball honoree for Georgia Southern since Nina Iduate in 2010, who went on to earn first-team Academic All-American honors.
