• Georgia Southern makes its 25th NCAA Golf Championship appearance May 13-15 as the Eagles travel to Stanford, Calif., to compete in the 13-team regional field at the Stanford Regional.

• The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the national championships to be played May 24-29, at Blessings Club in Fayetteville, Ark.

• Georgia Southern received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships after winning the stroke play portion of the Sun Belt Championship April 23 at Raven Golf Club in Destin, Fla.

• Senior Steven Fisk earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships by winning the conference's individual medalist honors in a playoff. Fisk became the ninth Eagle to win a conference individual title and the third in the Eagles' five-year stint in the Sun Belt.

• It's the third appearance in the NCAA Championships under head coach Carter Collins and the eighth in Collins' 12 seasons on the coaching staff.

• It's Georgia Southern's eighth NCAA Championship appearance in the last 11 seasons. The Eagles tied for 11th at the Austin Regional at UT Golf Club in their last appearance in 2017. Georgia Southern won the SoCon Tournament in 2011 and 2014, the Sun Belt Tournament in 2015 and received at-large bids in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019. Georgia Southern made six consecutive NCAA Championship appearances from 2001-06.

• The Eagles will compete at the par-70, 6,727-yard Stanford Golf Course. It's the third time Georgia Southern has played in an NCAA Regional in the state of California. GS finished 14th at North Ranch Country Club in 1988 and did not make the cut at Carlton Oaks Country Club in 1974.

• The Eagles posted their best regional finish in 2010, tying for fourth at the Capital City Club Crabapple Course in Atlanta.

• Georgia Southern will use the same lineup that the Eagles used in the Sun Belt Championship - Brett Barron, Colin Bowles, Ben Carr, Steven Fisk and Jake Maples. Wilson Andress will serve as the ready 6 sub.

• Barron and Fisk are the only players on the Eagle roster who have competed in an NCAA Regional. Barron carded a 229 at the Austin Regional in 2017 and Fisk shot a 212 and tied for 15th. Fisk played in the Kissimmee Regional as an indy last season and carded a 222.

• Georgia Southern shot a school record 263 (21-under) in the final round of stroke play at the Sun Belt Championship as the Eagles made 22 birdies on the back nine. Brett Barron shot a team-best 65, while Steven Fisk, Ben Carr and Jake Maples shot 66. The Eagles had to throw out a career low round of 67 by Colin Bowles.

• The total topped a 266 the Eagles shot in the fall in the first round of the Fighting Irish Classic and is one of seven rounds GS has posted this season that rank in the top-10 in school history.

• Fisk will be making his 45th career start for the Eagles, while Ben Carr makes his 11th start in the lineup. Brett Barron makes his 26th career start and has been in the lineup in the last five tournaments, and Jake Maples makes his fifth start this spring. Colin Bowles, a mid-year transfer from Ohio State, will play in the lineup for the second time.

• All six Eagles traveling to the regional are from Georgia. Two have won Georgia State Amateur titles - Colin Bowles won in 2016 becoming the youngest since Bobby Jones - and Brett Barron won in 2018.

• The Eagles are paired with UNCG and Augusta for the first round and will tee off the 10th hole at 12:55 p.m. ET Monday.
