Women’s Golf Signs Alberte Thuesen

The Denmark native will be a freshman in the fall.

STATESBORO – Women's golf coach Emily Kuhfeld announced today that Alberte Thuesen (Copenhagen, Denmark/Marie Kruses Skole & Gymnasium) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Georgia Southern and compete for the Eagles beginning in 2019-20.

Thuesen is ranked 17th in Denmark and fifth in the country's U18 ranking and has competed for the Danish National Team. She owns a 74.8 scoring average.

"We are so pleased to announce the addition of Alberte Thuesen to our program this fall," said Kuhfeld. "She has a tremendous work ethic on the course and in the classroom and is a great fit with the team personality wise. She will bring a lot of knowledge and international experience to our team, and we are looking forward to having her here this fall!"
