STATESBORO - Georgia Southern's annual men's basketball contest against Georgia State in Atlanta has been moved to Feb. 28, with tipoff slated for 7 p.m., the two athletic departments announced today.
The contest, originally scheduled for the afternoon of Feb. 29, has been moved because of the U.S. Olympic Marathon trials taking place throughout the city of Atlanta, including on the Georgia State campus, Feb. 29.
The annual rivalry game in Atlanta has sold out in each of the last five seasons, and Southern will be looking for its first win at State since 1992.
Georgia Southern opens a two-game homestand Friday against Radford at 7 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
