Three Eagles Named Women’s Golf All-American Scholars

Ella Ofstedahl, Julianna Collett and Sarah Noonan earn the honor.
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Georgia Southern's Ella Ofstedahl, Julianna Collett and Sarah Noonan All-American Scholars.
Ofstedahl ranked 13th in the Sun Belt and led the Eagles with a 76.03 scoring average, which ranks third best in program history. She played in all 11 tournaments and posted six top-20 finishes and had three top-10s, including two in a row in the spring.
Collett competed in all six events in the spring and posted a 78.11 scoring average. She was the co-leader of the Sun Belt Championship after shooting a 71 in the first round, her low round of the season, and finished tied for 20th.
Noonan played in all 11 tournaments and tied for the team lead with 32 rounds. Her best finish was a tie for seventh in the Terrier Intercollegiate after shooting 76-75=151.
A total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, and the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Georgia Southern finished third at the Sun Belt Championship at Raven Golf Club this season, its best finish in the three-year history of the program. The entire roster returns for the Eagles in 2018-19.
