Players Returning
The Jaguars return more than a dozen starters from 2017, including six on offense. South Alabama takes a hit losing starting quarterback Dallas Davis, who completed 100 of 175 pass attempts for 1,355 yards and had eight touchdowns. Davis shared starting duties last season with Cole Garvin. With Davis gone, Garvin, Evan Orth and Cephus Johnson are the Jaguar quarterbacks on the roster that will battle for playing time. Linebacker Shawn Jennings, who sat out last season after transferring from Alabama, is healthy and ready to go for spring.
Series History
Georgia Southern had an impressive win against the Jaguars last season, ending the game 52-0 in the Eagles' own Paulson Stadium. The Eagles have gone up against South Alabama four times, pulling out a victory each year since 2014.
