No rest for the Eagles as they return to action at the Charleston Invitational April 2-3 at RiverTowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. GS is coming off a ninth-place finish at the Hennsler Intercollegiate March 27. This is the Eagles' final tournament before traveling to the Sun Belt Championship in Destin, Fla., April 14-17.
This is the third time the Eagles have competed in the Charleston Invitational, but the previous two have been during the fall season. GS took second last season as the College of Charleston won by two strokes over the Eagles.
Ansley Bowman was the only current Eagle in the lineup and shot a 69 in the second round to help GS get into the final group for the third round.
GS will use the same lineup as the Eagles have used in each event this spring. Bowman makes her 27th start for the Eagles, and
Ella Ofstedahl makes her 14th.
Julianna Collett will make her 9th career start, while freshmen
Sarah Noonan and
Natalie Petersen are in the lineup for the 10th time.
Ofstedahl paced the Eagles at the Hennsler Intercollegiate and tied for eighth for her second top-10 and fourth top-20 of the season. Bowman has one top-10 finish this season, two top-20s and four top-30s. Petersen has one top-5, three top-20 and four top-30 outings.
