Track and Field completes the final day of competition at the Weems Baskin Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. – Over the weekend the Georgia Southern Track and Field team competed in the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by South Carolina. The Eagles had multiple top-10 and top-15 finishes in a variety of events.

Sholonda Snell took home sixth in the 800 meter event after posting a time of 2:14.84. Ellunde Montgomery continued the Eagles success taking home eighth in the 1500 meter event. Kaitlin Rocker was able to place top-15 in the 3000 meter event, while teammate Rebecca Parker took home a top-20 finish.

Freshman, Kamare' Ways, continued her successful campaign with an 11^th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles. Eugenia Tan took home a seventh place finish in the Long Jump, while Alexis Gant finished top-15 in the shot put event. The Eagles will return to action Wednesday as the head to the Tiger Twilight Mid-Week, hosted by Savannah State.
