STATESBORO, Ga. – Saturday afternoon the Eagles put their winning streak on the line in Greenville, North Carolina against ECU. The Pirates would defeat the Blue and White 4-1 to end the winning streak at 10 straight. The Eagles will be back in action Tuesday, inside the friendly confines of the Wallis Tennis Center, to take on conference foe Troy.

The Pirates jumped out to an early lead in doubles play winning on courts one and two 6-2. Stefano Di Aloy leveled the score for the Eagles winning on court two in straight sets. His 6-1, 6-0 victory tied the score and started to help the Eagles momentum. Eddie Landin dropped the first set of his match but rebounded in the second set winning 6-2. Landin would go on to fall to Vlad Anghel 7-6, 2-6, 6-2. ECU would go on to defeat the Eagles on courts five and six to complete the 4-1 victory.
 
WHAT HEAD COACH KONING SAID
"I have to give credit to ECU, they played better at key moments of the match and never gave up. We fought hard and were in control many times in several matches, but when it counted we dropped the ball. We will learn from this and use it when we play our next match at home."
