SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Georgia Southern Rifle posted its top scores of the new year on Saturday, placing third in a five-team match at Wofford. The Eagles scored a 4,458 aggregate to finish just behind The Citadel and UAB. The Eagles will return to the range in a fortnight's time for the NCAA Qualifying meet in Charleston on Feb 17-18.
Courtney Weekley tied for first place overall with a 569 in small bore. The score ranks fifth on the program's list of top scores. She scored 1,148 overall to place second in the final aggregate standings.
Rosemary Kramer shared first place in air rifle with a 586. Kramer's score ranks sixth in program history.
The Eagles toe the line for the final two outings of the 2017-18 season on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston. The NCAA Qualifier is set for Feb 17-18 in the Holy City. The campaign comes to a close on March 3-4 with the Southern Conference Championships at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
