Women’s Golf Moves into Eighth at Idle Hour Collegiate

Ella Ofstedahl and Ansley Bowman are in the top-10.
MACON, Ga. – Ella Ofstedahl shot a 71-74 to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team into eighth after two rounds at the Idle Hour Collegiate Monday at Idle Hour Country Club.
Ofstedahl is tied for fifth, while Ansley Bowman shot 74-73 and is tied for 10th. The Eagles are six strokes behind fifth-place James Madison on the team leaderboard. Tournament host Mercer leads the event and is the only team under par.

Ofstedahl posted three birdies on the back nine, shot 2-under on the side and played her final nine holes of the first round 2-under. The junior played a stretch of eight holes in the second round 1-under on her way to a 74.
Bowman capped the first round with six straight pars and played her first nine holes of the morning even with consecutive birdies on 12 and 13. The senior played the first four holes of the afternoon 1-under and was 1-under on her final eight holes of the day.
